The Tipping Point: How Little Things Can Make a Big Difference

The Tipping Point: How Little Things Can Make a Big Difference - I had to read this book for a book club. I must say it wasn't what I have expected. The buzz regarding this book proves that a tipping point really does occur in society. This book was recommended as a read in grad school for my MBA. However, I feel that the information given in the book is pretty much common sense information. Also, a number of the author's points/views were things I learned in undergrad while studying psychology. I just don't consider this book to be anything new and now I realize why I put off reading it until being required to for this club.ETA...I think what was interesting about the book was to see concepts which I have been familiar with and studied put into layman's terms, but the information in this book is common knowledge within the arenas of business development and marketing. As one who studies the Revolutionary War, I think the thing that was most fascinating re: this book was the author's reference to the founding of the US. It has given me a new "set of glasses" in which to view the start of this country.
