March - Geraldine Brooks I must admit that I loved this author's last release [b:Caleb's Crossing|9684523|Caleb's Crossing|Geraldine Brooks|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1303284000s/9684523.jpg|14572532], I was sucked in to the story, loved the characters, etc. So when I was told that this was the choice for our live book club selection, I was thrilled. WRONG!This storyline was so incredibly dry to me, that it became incredibly painful. Like its predecessor, Little Women, I didn't like the characters. It is funny because I normally LOVE books written in this period of time, both fiction and non-fiction. To boot, I tend to dislike books, written currently, that "feed" off a classic novel. I find that rarely can "pull" it off and this one was no different.
