OK, def. not my favorite Val McDermid book. Not for the same complaints as other reviewers though. Val to me is the "Queen of Twistedness". I think she could write a seriously, seriously twisted book blindfolded with one arm tied behind her back the use of only two fingers and it would still be a masterpiece..this one was pale in comparison to some of her stuff I have read, particularly in re: to the Wire in the Blood series! Her book The Retribution, though, not to be missed!!
