I was disappointed when I first saw that this book was classified as young adult. I almost returned it; however, I am happy I chose to continue to read it. This book was anything but superficial. The story was creepy and mysterious from page one and kept my attention to the last page. A word of warning to parents who have younger children who want to read this book-there is some rougher language towards the end of this book, but other than that, I would easily let me pre-teen or "early" teen read this book. Young adult literature has come along way since I was a young adult.
