I think I expected more out of this book than what it delivered. I found the story to be written much more as a young adult or juvenile piece of literature, with the exception of a few nasty slang terms for Japanese Americans used during that period of time. I found the mystery component to the book to be incredibly weak. I am actually kind of disappointed, as it has been on my TBR list for a bit.
